#1 Grocery Store for Etiquette Principles
Posted by Liz Taylor Oct 13, 2015
Little things in life make me excited such as the new Kowalski’s grocery store in Excelsior.
I went to the spectacular store with my two kids (ages two and three) last weekend. As I marveled over the Four Seasons of grocery stores, my little angel, Brooklyn, started throwing up everywhere. Mortified, I frantically ushered us out of the store as quickly as possible. Every parent has experienced this and can empathize with this embarrassing yet heart wrenching experience as you feel horrible when your kids aren’t feeling well.
I want to touch on why I will be a customer for life:
The manager came rushing out to the parking lot and gave me a look of “I know how this goes--- I have kids too”. In his hands were bottled waters for us, a roll of paper towels and a package of wet wipes. He offered for us to use his restroom and asked if there was anything he could do to help. I was so touched by his thoughtful approach, empathy and kindness.
I love Kowalski’s for many other reasons:
1.) Kid’s grocery carts my toddlers LOVE to push.
2.) Fresh samples to try before you buy.
4.) Happy employees. It’s clear the ownership values their people and treats them well.
5.) Philanthropists. You place your receipt in a designated charity box and they donate a percentage to your nonprofit of choice.
Thank you, Kowalski’s for your wonderful shopping experience and phenomenal customer service. You display great etiquette to your customers- sick and all- with a high level of respect and consideration.
“How refreshing and timely. From the texting generation to the baby boomers—the art of etiquette is sadly disappearing. Whether you just need a touch-up or a full immersion, Liz, is the person to teach you the skills to appear confident, elegant and professional in any business situation. Her energetic and engaging style will make this one of the most enjoyable seminars you have ever taken! Liz is awesome!”

“Absolutely superb! Liz has an amazing knack for presenting her concepts in a thought-provoking and clear style. Her ideas and suggestions would enhance anyone's ability to bridge the gap between business and etiquette. She clearly has a deep understanding of not only the topic, but the thought processes that go into creating better interpersonal relationships out of socially awkward situations. I highly recommend her and her coursework...she will help your business!”
