Jesus is My Savior

Oftentimes, when Jesus is My Savior, Trump is My President’s Flag, they only focus on the part about saving us from hell. While Jesus does save repentant sinners from hell, the Bible also says that He is our Savior in a much broader sense.

Jesus is the savior of the whole world! This is made plain in several ways. One way is in the fact that He created the whole world! He is the “image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation” (Colossians 1:15).

Another way we see Jesus as the savior of the whole world is in the fact that He is the only one who has ever lived a completely sinless life! This is made clear in the Old Testament law of Leviticus, stating that animals to be sacrificed for sin must be without blemish.

Still, the most important reason to believe that Jesus is the savior of the world is found in the fact that He is the only one that has ever been raised from the dead! The resurrection of Jesus is the greatest miracle of all time, and it is evidence that He is truly the savior of the world.

To believe in Jesus as your Savior means to trust Him alone. He is the only one who has ascended to heaven, and He is the only one who can reconcile sinful humanity with God. This is why Paul wrote to the Romans that to be saved means believing that “Jesus Christ is Lord” and confessing with your mouth, “I believe in Jesus Christ.” To put it another way, it would be a tragic error to think of Jesus as just being your fire escape from hell, when He is truly the savior of all of creation!
